I read all the reviews and was very worried.My experience with Dr Phillips was fantastic. He made me feel very comfortable and understood everything I was saying.

Do not attend here, IME reports will favor the insurer at all times saying that all your symptoms are made up and non existent

I went through an independent medical examination with this facility through an insurance company. It took 2 months to receive the report and when I did the report made me look as if I’ve made it up also he couldn’t see what was wrong with me and if I have an injury it’s not due to work. So if you have to go to these guys remember You always have a right to a second opinion and don’t let there smiles And politeness fool you they are not your friends.

Be extremely careful if your employer refers you to this third party provider. They are not acting in your interests at all, and will even state that they are only acting on behalf of your employer in a paid capacity. Figure it out for yourself. You are likely being shafted. It doesn't matter if you have a legitimate illness / injury.

Attended this practice for an IME.The reports conclusion by the doctor seemed to favour the payer (the insurance company) heavily.The statements given by me in the assessment were cherry picked out of context, not once, but numerous times in the report to paint a picture, in a way I can only conclude was deliberate and to give the client an advantage.My advice- If you receive an appointment for an IME with this business. Don't accept it.You have the right to insist on another medical practice.Perhaps if enough people do this Mlcoa staff might start acting impartial.

I strongly advise anyone that is instructed to have an Independent Medical Review completed by Dr Mattes, request to see another Doctor. The report in which I received back was completely incorrect. Despite all of my treating health professionals including Doctors, a Physiotheripst & a Psychologist, all of whom have been treating myself for several years, outlined my current diagnosis and illness, according to Dr Mattes I am now fully recovered, in two hours he managed to achieve what all the above professionals have been unable to do in years . It is extremely evident that Dr Mattes works solely for the insurance company and that he doesn't take into consideration the impact in which he is having on so many innocent people's lives.

Strongly advise against going here!! particularly avoid seeing Dr Mattes. What a horrible experience! Not only was the process extremely long and exhausting, it was physically painful and Dr Mattes showed no concern for my physical discomfort.The report he wrote was completely inaccurate!Clearly this doctor is biased and working only in the interest in the insurance company. What a shambolic organisation. They simply work for the people they recieve payment from - the insurer. My assessing Dr wrote up a report after thorough questioning i.e. Exact dates and order of events" and then made a big mistake re: wrong limb!When challenged upon a second IME... He lied but contradicted himself initially against the documents he had to review. Try and avoid!!!"

I see all these bad reviews but i found it did what it was meant for. I was ofcourse hesitant but decided to be completely honest, not play up any injury and simply tell the truth. My dr put in his report and my surgery etc was given the go ahead. The isurer time frame isnt always what we want but in the end i found it worked out. My advice is dont let anger or mistrust guide you. Not everyones experience is a bad one. Reviews are not always the best guide to things, they are a new and generally in my experience, a bad judge! Only grievances are generally written. Personally im happy with the system as it helped find the correct outcome.
